About Us

history of w.I.C.K.

Steven and Basil have both been involved in discipleship and men's ministry to varying degrees most their lives. Through our work, we saw the crisis within manhood in the country. As time went on, we noticed this was not a US problem, but a global epidemic.

In 2024, Basil was on a mission trip to Nigeria, which confirmed this hypothesis.

While working there with pastors from numerous African nations, they all said: "we have programs for women, programs for widows, programs for children, but we have nothing for men". The result is that men in many African nations feel disenfranchised, irrelevant and marginalized in church and society.

After hearing Basil was involved in men's ministry, a pastor from Botswana asked for help to address the crisis in manhood there. Botswana has one of the highest rates of gender-based violence on the continent. To answer this call for help, Basil and Steven started WICK. Since then, Basil and Steven speak to groups in the US and internationally discipling Christians on the meaning of true Biblical manhood.

The Founders of W.I.C.K.

"A kingdom man is a male who consistently lives all of life under the lordship and authority of Jesus Christ. He is an influential, unashamed follower who operates according to divine principles rather than worldly standards, taking responsible leadership in his home, church, and community".
